Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking vendors to provide ADA Automatic Door Maintenance and Service for the Hampton VA Medical Center located at 100 Emancipation Drive, Hampton, VA 23667. This contract aims to ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of automatic doors, which are essential for accessibility and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The contract is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and will be awarded based on a Request for Quotation (RFQ) process.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing all-inclusive automatic door maintenance and repair services, which include:

1. Preventative Maintenance Inspection (PMI) Plan: The contractor must develop a PMI plan based on OEM recommendations and industry standards to minimize breakdowns and extend service life.

2. Monthly Inspections: The contractor shall perform monthly inspections, preventive maintenance, and routine repairs on 240 commercial automatic doors. Each visit will involve inspection, cleaning, lubrication, and adjustments taking approximately 30-60 minutes per door.

3. Service Calls: The contractor must respond to service calls within 24 hours and begin work within two business days. Emergency service calls require a response within two hours. All repairs must adhere to manufacturer specifications and the National Electrical Code.

4. Reporting: The contractor must provide detailed reports after each service call, including operational checks performed, maintenance work done, parts replaced, and overall condition assessments of each door.

Period of Performance
The contract period includes a base year starting in March 2026 through February 2027, with options for four additional years.
