The Federal Bureau of Prisons is conducting market research pursuant to the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 10. It is anticipated that a solicitation will be issued for an Acquisitions Course that covers, Pre-award, Evaluation & Award, Administration and Closeout for current Contracting Officers. The course will be an instructor led 40-hour virtual course and the training sessions will be conducted in an interactive engaging manner with numerous hands-on activities. The contractor shall lead nine (9) interactive training sessions for the following dates: 5/06/2024 through 5/10/2024 5/13/2024 through 5/17/2024 5/20/2024 through 5/24/2024 6/10/2024 through 6/14/2024 6/17/2024 through 6/21/2024 6/24/2024 through 6/28/2024 7/08/2024 through 7/12/2024 7/15/2024 through 7/19/2024 7/22/2024 through 7/26/2024 The Government intends to award a task order against an established Federal Supply Schedule with firm fixed unit prices. This course should be designed for a Civilian acquisition workforce that operates out of the FAR. The services will be procured under MAS 611430. They are seeking an Acquisitions Course that will cover various aspects of contracting, including Pre-award, Evaluation & Award, Administration, and Closeout. The course will be a 40-hour virtual course conducted by an instructor in an interactive and engaging manner with hands-on activities. The contractor will be responsible for leading nine interactive training sessions on specific dates between May and July 2024. The Government intends to award a task order against an established Federal Supply Schedule with firm fixed unit prices. The course is intended for a Civilian acquisition workforce operating out of the services and will be procured under MAS 611430.

The contractor will provide formal, interactive training on the mandatory elements of Acquisition Overview and Back to Basics for civilians. The training sessions will cover topics such as Commercial Acquisitions, Acquisition Planning, Developing a Solicitation, Socioeconomic Programs, Source Selection, Evaluation Factors, Price Reasonableness, Determination of Responsibility, Contract Administration, Exercising Options, Terminations, and Closeout. The training sessions will be conducted virtually and incorporate numerous hands-on activities.

The services will occur in nine separate five-day periods between May and July 2024. Each training session is expected to have an audience size of approximately 30 personnel. The training sessions will take place virtually through teams.
