Acquisition Modernization Technology Research (AMTR) Program   2

Background
The Acquisition Modernization Technology Research (AMTR) Program was established to assess acquisition and procurement processes, identify areas that would benefit from IT modernization or advanced technologies, evaluate technical requirements, and pursue future research efforts for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). The program supports the DoD policies through five lines of effort (LOEs), with a primary focus on LOE 4: Modernized Acquisition and Supply Chain Management.

Work Details
The AMTR Program will conduct projects primarily in support of DoD’s Acquisition Modernization efforts. The program’s research concentrates on eight specific strategic focus areas, including Enterprise IT Modernization, Data Science and Analytics, Secure Supply Chain, Emerging Technology, Industry Engagement for Innovation, Innovative Processes, Knowledge-Rich Acquisition Workforce, and Market Intelligence. Each contractor awarded an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract will execute any R&D projects awarded to them based on the Statement of Work included in each task order.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for each IDIQ contract is intended to be 5 years, structured as a 1-year base period and four 1-year option periods. However, individual IDIQ time periods may vary.
