Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk District, has issued solicitation W9123624B2006 for the construction of an Access Control Point (ACP) Main Gate at Fort Eustis, Virginia. The project aims to construct an ACP that meets current Air Force ACP standards, ensuring safety to personnel, protection of mission-critical assets, and compliance with design criteria and applicable codes.

Work Details
The construction work includes multiple tasks: 1) Constructing a Vehicle Inspection Facility (VIF) complete to the 5' line including all work incidental thereto as shown on the drawings and specified exclusive of bid items 0002-0007; 2) Constructing a 4-Lane Checkpoint with Guard Shacks and associated canopy complete to the 5' line including all work incidental thereto as shown on the drawings and specified exclusive of bid items 0001 and 0003-0007; 3) Constructing the Gatehouse complete to the 5' line including all work incidental thereto as shown on the drawings and specified exclusive of bid items 0001, 0002 and 0004-0007; 4) Constructing the Visitor Control Center complete to the 5' line including all work incidental thereto as shown on the drawings and specified exclusive of bid items 0001-0003 and 0005-0007; 5) Construction of site work complete including all work incidental thereto as shown on the drawings and specified exclusive of bid items 0001-0004, 0006 and 0007; 6) Constructing Vehicle Inspection Facility enclosure walls for commercial vehicle inspection bay and POV inspection bay including all work incidental thereto as shown on the drawings and specified exclusive of bid items 0001-0005 and 0007; and
7) Constructing the 5th inbound lane/guard shack, canopy extension, and associated site work, including all work thereto as shown on the drawings and specified exclusive of bid items 0001-0006.
