Acoustic Communications (ACOMMS) Sonobuoy Prototypes   3

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a Delivery Order to Undersea Sensor Systems, Inc. (USSI) , 6725 Omnitech Pl, Victor, NY 14564, on an other than full and open basis, for the effort, materials, and supplies required to manufacture, assemble, and deliver up to four hundred (400) ACOMMS Sonobuoy prototypes for Fiscal Years 2023 through 2027.

The authority permitting other than full and open competition is provided in 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

A request for sources sought was issued on 21 February 2023 and closed 07 March 2023. Based on the results of that notice, no set-aside was determined. The NAVAIR Office of Small Business Programs concurs with the set-aside determination. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within thirty (30) days after the publication date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
