ACC SCXI Automated Switching System

Background
The 633d Contracting Squadron, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, VA, intends to award a single source purchase order for an automated 1553B bus switching system to support the Tactical Data Link Interoperability Center’s Air Force Participating Test Unit tactical communications testing efforts.
The contract will replace manual patch panels with automated switching to streamline setup, reduce confusion, and lower training requirements for over 35 1553B capable systems.

Work Details
System Matrix Relay will provide 1553B bus infrastructure automation that will replace a manual patch panel with automated switching. The Tactical Data Link Interoperability Center will include over 35 1553B capable systems which currently have to be manually patched and manipulated to create 1553B bus connections to support the Air Force Participating Test Unit tactical communications testing efforts.
Automated switching and 1553B bus creation will decrease setup time, reduce confusion, and decrease training requirements associated with complicated bus configurations. This is a single product purchase with a 2-year warranty.
