Background
The 125th Fighter Wing (FW) of the Air Force is seeking a sources sought for an abrasive water jet cutting system. This system is essential for safe and full-capability operational use within an Air Force Metals Technology fabrication environment, which supports aircraft maintenance and structural fabrication operations.

Work Details
The contract involves the procurement of one complete industrial CNC abrasive water jet cutting system along with all necessary components for operational use. The system must be a heavy-duty industrial-grade unit designed for continuous operation, capable of precision cutting of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, composites, and specialty materials.

Key components include:
- CNC water jet cutting table
- High-pressure intensifier pump
- Cutting head assembly
- Abrasive delivery system
- Integrated controller and operating software
- Water filtration and recycling system
- Plumbing and electrical connections
- Hoses, fittings, startup consumables, maintenance supplies, replacement wear components.

The minimum cutting table/work area must be 10 feet by 7 feet. The system should support precision cutting of material thicknesses associated with Metals Technology operations including aluminum, stainless steel, mild steel, titanium, copper, and composites. It must utilize abrasive water jet technology to produce precision cuts without heat-affected zones or material warping. Additionally, the acquisition includes on-site or virtual operator and maintenance training for personnel covering operation safety procedures and preventive maintenance. All required technical manuals and support materials must also be provided.
