AAON HVAC Unit

Background
NSWCCD Code 102 has a requirement to purchase a replacement AAON Packaged Rooftop Unit for building 81 on a Brand Name basis. The goal of the contract is to replace the existing HVAC unit with a new, efficient model that meets specific performance and construction standards.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide one (1) new packaged rooftop unit, AAON Model RNA-025 or equivalent updated model, to replace the existing unit (Serial # BNWR03515). The unit shall be a heat pump with supplemental electric heat. Minimum specifications include:
- Make: AAON
- Model: RNA-025
- Construction: 2-inch double-wall construction with a thermal break
- Supply Fan: Direct drive plenum supply fans
- Drain Pan: Stainless steel, double-sloped
- Filters: One (1) set of 4-inch pleated MERV 8 filters
- Coil Protection: Condenser coil guards

Electrical and Performance Requirements include:
- Power: 460V/3Ph/60Hz
- Electrical Rating: 10KAIC
- Circuit Sizing: Minimum Circuit Ampacity (MCA) of 216A and Maximum Overcurrent Protection (MOCP) of 225A
- Refrigerant: R-454B DX coil
- Compressor: Variable capacity primary compressor with a 2-step secondary compressor

Heating/Cooling features include an Air-Source Heat Pump, Modulating Hot Gas Reheat, and Supplemental Electric Heating. Controls & Safeties include an Economizer, Clogged Filter Switch, Phase and Brownout Protection, Non-Fused Disconnect Switch, Factory-wired 115V Convenience Outlet, VCCX CAV Unit Controller, and remote safety terminals for field-provided smoke detectors. Warranty includes a minimum 1-year limited parts and labor warranty and a minimum 5-year parts-only warranty for the compressor. The price shall be inclusive of all freight. Exclusions from the material supply include BAS integration, smoke detectors, airflow monitoring station, vibration isolation rails, mounting hardware, structural steel, curb fill, all power and low-voltage wiring, rigging, installation, and final commissioning.
