Description

The UxS Degraded Environment Facility (UxSDEF) will allow testing of unmanned systems in degraded environments. Phase I will develop a Fan Array Wind Tunnel or Windwall with motion capture. Phase II will add additional degraded environments such as rain, dust, fog, and snow. The facility will be constructed at the William B. Morgan Large Cavitation Channel (LCC) in Memphis, Tennessee operated by the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWC/CD).
