Reliance Consolidated Models -- RECOM IV Support   3

NASA/LaRC is issuing a Draft Request for Proposal (DRFP) for Reliance Consolidated Models (RECOM) design and/or fabrication of Aerospace Model Systems and Developmental Test Hardware. See attached DRFP for additional information. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. This procurement is a TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 541712 and 1,500 employees, respectively. The purpose of the DRFP is to solicit industry comments and questions on the subject requirement prior to issuance of the final RFP. Questions/comments are strongly encouraged from potential offerors on all aspects of the DRFP, including requirements, schedules, proposal instructions, and evaluation approach. Questions/comments are due no later than July 26, 2012, 2:30 pm EST. Industry input to the DRFP will be considered in formulating the final RFP. Potential offerors are requested to identify unnecessary or inefficient requirements. The Government is not requesting proposals in response to this DRFP, does not intend to award a contract on the basis of the DRFP, or to pay for any information received regarding this DRFP. A pre-solicitation conference will not be held. The anticipated release date of the final RFP is on or about August 2, 2012 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about September 6, 2012. The firm date for receipt of proposals will be stated in the RFP. NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable. See NASA-Specific Note B.
