Description

The purpose of this effort is to advance additive friction stir deposition (AFSD)/Cold Spray (CS) manufacturing technologies to provide a turnkey solution for enhanced warfighter sustainment and performance by accelerating adoption of newer advanced manufacturing technologies; establish digital thread for AFSD to enable building structural components made of Ti and Al alloys; establish feedstock development for cold spray to accelerate repair and additive builds of structural components of Al alloys; showcase performance of novel print-to-use' AM steels for Naval applications; establish an accelerated qualification and certification framework under a commercially available software platform.
