Pre-Solicitation Notice For CARDIA FC   3

Background
The contract is a pre-solicitation notice for the Coronary Artery Risk Development in Young Adults (CARDIA) Study. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is issuing the contract to provide up to four field center support services for the CARDIA study, which aims to address new questions about the development and progression of clinical cardiovascular disease and related conditions over a period from 07/01/2022 to 06/30/2033.

Work Details
The purpose of this acquisition is to provide field center support services for the CARDIA study to maximize the use of data and samples amassed in CARDIA over more than 35 years. The scientific objectives include enhancing statistical power for analyses of predictors of clinical events, studying the progression of risk factors, and identifying new risk factors or interactions among factors.

The operational goals include continued cohort follow-up, fostering scientific collaborations, and conducting limited clinical examinations of participants. The contract will also cover costs related to conferences & meetings, food for meals, travel costs, consultant costs, subcontract costs, patient care costs, and other administrative expenses.
