Description

Maintenance of the NHLBI Biologic Specimen Repository
Background
The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) is seeking maintenance services for the Biologic Specimen Repository program. The program will be competitively renewed under a five-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) cost type contract to continue maintenance of biological specimen collections from NHLBI-sponsored epidemiological and clinical studies.

Work Details
The Contractor shall serve as the NHLBI Biologic Specimen Repository (Biorepository) and provide the facilities and the scientific and technical expertise to efficiently acquire, maintain, and distribute biospecimens collected on NHLBI-funded clinical studies. The Contractor shall be responsible for coordinating/subcontracting specific services needed to accomplish the Task Areas and for communicating Biorepository activities to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) on a regular basis. The Contractor shall operate current acceptable standards as indicated by Federal, State, and Local government regulations, policies, and/or guidelines in conducting the Task Areas outlined in the Statement of Work.

Period of Performance
The contract period will cover January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2028.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the NHLBI Biologic Specimen Repository facilities.
