Background
The Jackson Heart Study (JHS) is a significant research initiative aimed at understanding cardiovascular health, particularly in African American populations. The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) is issuing this solicitation for the renewal of the JHS Coordinating Center to continue its mission of conducting comprehensive research and providing essential data to improve heart health outcomes.

The goal of this contract is to ensure the effective coordination and management of the JHS, facilitating collaboration among various research centers involved in the study.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary services, qualified personnel, materials, equipment, and facilities required to perform the Statement of Work. Key tasks include:

1. Reporting Requirements: All reports must be submitted electronically and comply with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. Regularly recurring Technical Progress Reports will be required detailing activities undertaken during reporting periods.

2. Assessment and Authorization (A&A): The contractor must obtain a valid authority to operate (ATO) for their information system within three months after contract award.

3. Deliverables: Satisfactory performance will be assessed based on completion of work as described in the Statement of Work and acceptance by the designated representative.

4. Data Management: Compliance with NIH's Genomic Data Sharing Policy is required, including submission of genomic data to appropriate repositories.

5. Human Subjects Protection: The contractor must ensure compliance with regulations protecting human subjects involved in research, including obtaining Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval prior to engaging in any human subjects research.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from August 13, 2025, to August 12, 2035.

Place of Performance
The work will primarily be performed at the National Institutes of Health located in Bethesda, MD.
