Background
The Hispanic Community Health Study - Study of Latinos (HCHS-SOL) Field Centers contract is issued by the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, a part of the National Institutes of Health. Work Details
The purpose of this acquisition is to provide Field Center services for the Hispanic Community Health Study - Study of Latinos (HCHS-SOL). The scientific objectives include enhancing statistical power to perform analyses of predictors of clinical events, studying the progression of subclinical to clinical CVD, and identifying new risk factors or interactions among factors that inform disease pathophysiology.

The operational goals include supporting the field centers to continue cohort follow-up and data collection on clinical events, maintaining existing data repository and biospecimen repositories, fostering scientific collaborations, and conducting a limited clinical examination of the HCHS/SOL participants as a platform for ancillary study examination components.
