AJ11 - High Throughput Toxicokinetics (HTTk)
Background
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is issuing this solicitation for High-Throughput Toxicokinetics (HTTk) as part of its efforts to enhance chemical safety and sustainability.

The EPA's Center for Computational Toxicology and Exposure (CCTE) coordinates the Computational Toxicology Research Program (CompTox), which aims to provide better-informed decisions about chemicals that have not been thoroughly evaluated for potential risks to human health and the environment. The CompTox program integrates advances in various scientific fields to prioritize chemicals based on potential human health risks, utilizing innovative methods to assess chemical hazards efficiently.

Work Details
The contractor will support the EPA by employing biologically appropriate, rapid, and cost-effective high-throughput methods on sets of dozens to hundreds of industrial compounds from the ToxCast library.

Key tasks include:
1. Utilizing high-throughput methods and systems to measure, identify, and research in vitro assays for obtaining key toxicokinetic information.
2. Predicting internal tissue (plasma) concentrations resulting from chemical exposure using toxicokinetic models linked with human exposure models.
3. Contributing to the development of computational tools that can screen thousands of chemicals for potential toxicity efficiently.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over an ordering period of five years.

Place of Performance
The work will be conducted at various locations as specified by task orders issued under the contract.
