Supply & Inscribe W1 Granite Headstones for MPS The purpose of this amendment is to provide a revised Combined Synopsis/Solicitation which is attached separately to this amendment. The response due date and time is NOT extended and remains on 28 July 2025 at 2:00 p.m. CST. The Combined Synopsis/Solicitation has been revised to remove the references to marble and to correct the item that shall be covered on the Gantt Chart submission. Note: There will not be a SF30 to sign for this amendment. Quoters shall provide a statement of acknowledgement and receipt of any and all amendments. Failure to acknowledge all amendments will result in the Interested Quoter being considered non-responsive and ineligible for award.

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Cemetery Administration (NCA) provides headstones, markers, and niche covers for deceased veterans worldwide. This contract aims to manufacture, inscribe, and distribute granite headstones within the contiguous 48 states.

Work Details
The contract includes the supply of upright granite headstones (W1) with dimensions 13" x 42" x 3". The contractor must provide all labor and materials necessary for manufacturing, inscribing, packaging, palletizing, and delivering the headstones FOB destination. The granite must conform to ASTM C119-19 standards and be free from defects. Specific requirements include:

- **Material Specification:** Standard grade fine-medium grained granite.
- **Color:** Uniform light grey shade (N6-N7.75).
- **Finishing:** Machine honed with an 80-grit pad for a smooth satin finish.
- **Workmanship:** Must be free from defects; repairs or patching are not allowed.
- **Testing Specifications:** Granite must meet specific hardness, absorption, and compressive strength criteria as per ASTM standards.
- **Inscription Requirements:** Inscriptions must be made using air blast abrasion method with lithichrome application unless specified otherwise.
