Background
The solicitation is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or services prepared in the format of 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in the notice. It is a Straight Small Business Set-Aside IAW 19.5, 12.6, and 13.104. The solicitation is for exercise equipment: Brand Name or Equal to the Life Fitness Brand Equipment listed.

Work Details
The purchase is needed to replace the existing gym equipment at Recreational Therapy, which has been in use for fifteen plus years. The existing gym/exercise equipment has become worn due to heavy use and is currently used and housed on the Brockton Campus in Building 23 where the Patient Gym is located.
The new 'cardio equipment' is essential to support the physical therapy program at VAMC Brockton. The 'Life Fitness,' Integrity Series, brand name or equal equipment is needed to continue the standard of care for physical therapy and will be used daily for patients receiving therapy under the supervision of Recreation Therapists.
