This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential Service-Disabled Veteran-Own Small Business (SDVOSB) and Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) vendors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 423910-Sporting and Recreational Good and Supplies Merchant Wholesalers. In order to be considered an SDVOSB or VOSB vendor you must have a valid certification in VetBiz. http://vetbiz.gov/ The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System, Omaha, Nebraska has a need for a Recumbent Cross Trainer and be able to meet or exceed the following specific requirements. Recumbent Cross Trainer (Physical Therapy Equipment) Salient Characteristics must meet or exceed the following: " Ergonomic Body Positioning " Fits users from 4 feet 9 inches to users 6 feet 5 inches " Accommodates users up to 500 lbs. " Self-powered drive train " Feet security system which enables the rider to secure feet to pedals " Multiple locking foot angle positions on pedals " 360 degree swivel seat with multiple locking intervals " Seat to be a minimum of 18" wide " Generator resistance range of 0 - 1000 watts " Ergonomically shaped hand grips " Arm adjustment available at least 12 inches " Contact heart rate grips or monitors " Flip up arm rests for easy access in and out of machine " Wheelchair height seating " Console features: comprehensive data readouts with goal setting in time, distance and calories; a minimum of 10 workout programs; info button with help features; multiple display languages; heart rate monitoring; battery saver mode; administrative mode to customize console " Machine to be no more than 400 lbs and no more than 80" long, 36" wide INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMISSION Interested parties are encouraged to respond via email to Angie Mabley, Contracting Officer at angelique.mabley@va.gov. Responses of interest are due no later than August 23, 2016, 3:00 p.m. Central Standard Time (CST). Respondents should include as part of their submission whether or not all items listed in the salient characteristics can be provided and if an active certification for SDVOSB or VOSB status is valid in VetBiz.
