762-302 Construct Emergency Pharmacy Bldg at CMOP Minor Design - Tucson, AZ

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing a contract for professional Architect-Engineer (A-E) services to design a new Emergency Pharmacy Building at the Tucson Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP). The goal of this project is to create a facility that will house an Emergency Pharmacy Service (EPS) tractor trailer, storage, and administrative space. The building will be located at 3670 E. Britannia Drive, Tucson, Arizona, 85706, and will not be open to the public. Since the property is federally owned, city permitting is not required.

Work Details
The scope of work includes two phases: Part One Services (Design Phase Services) and Part Two Services (Construction Period Services). Part One Services involve site visits, field investigations, studies, and user interviews to prepare drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for the construction project. The building's maximum square footage is 23,433 sq ft with a minimum of 17,500 sq ft.

Tasks include:
- Civil (utilities, grading)
- Architectural (space plans)
- Structural (exterior walls)
- Mechanical (equipment)
- Electrical (solar PV integration)
- Telecommunications (integration with CMOP)
- Physical Security (access controls).

Part Two Services include responding to contractor RFIs during solicitation and construction phases; attending pre-bid and post-award conferences; reviewing construction material submittals; conducting site visits to ensure compliance; preparing site visit reports; coordinating project commissioning requirements; reviewing modifications for cost acceptability; participating in final inspections; preparing punch lists; and creating record drawings based on as-built documents.

Period of Performance
The total period for Part One Services/Design Phase work is estimated at 365 calendar days from the receipt of Notice of Award.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Tucson Consolidated Mail Order Pharmacy located at 3670 E. Britannia Drive, Tucson, Arizona 85706.
