Notice of Intent to Sole Source

Background
The United States Department of Energy (DOE), Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) intends to award a sole-source Purchase Order to Environment & Energy Publishing, LLC (E&E News). The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(B)-Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.

Work Details
This proposed action is for a subscription to the following E&E News products: E&E Daily which tracks environmental and energy issues in Congress, EnergyWire which provides coverage of electric utilities, oil and gas, and the transformation of the energy sector, ClimateWire which focuses on the business and politics of climate change, GreenWire which provides information concerning environmental and energy action, and E&E News PM which looks at late breaking news.
E&E News products are released daily, include news that is useful to D.C. policy makers, and cover a comprehensive variety of topics related to energy and environmental policy, politics and issues, e.g. science and technology innovation in the energy sector. E&E News products are best suited to meet ARPA-E’s requirement because they focus on science and energy issues at a national level while maintaining a focus on Washington DC, Congress and executive agencies.

Period of Performance
The anticipated award date for this acquisition is September 10, 2022.
