Meal Delivery Carts - CI   2

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically the Central Iowa VA Healthcare System (VAHCS), has a requirement for meal delivery carts. This solicitation is aimed at small businesses and is part of the agency's mission to provide quality healthcare services to veterans. The goal of this contract is to procure meal delivery carts that meet specific functional and performance specifications to enhance service delivery in the healthcare setting.

Work Details
The contract requires the delivery of four (4) room service meal delivery carts. Each cart must have a 10 tray capacity, accommodating trays that are 15"x20" with at least 5" spacing between trays. The carts must be under 48" high, primarily made of stainless steel, and equipped with 8" casters.

The specifications include:
- Two stainless steel doors that can be latched in both open and closed positions.
- Magnetic doors.
- A bumper surrounding the bottom of the cart.
- A four-sided rail on top.
- A slightly sloped floor with a drain.
- Tray guides that can be removed.
- At least two casters must have brakes and two must swivel.

Additionally, each cart must come with maintenance manuals, user manuals, cleaning instructions for all equipment, supplies, and accessories, and a one-year warranty covering parts and labor.

Period of Performance
Delivery is required within 30 days after receipt of order (ARO).

The products will be delivered to the Central Iowa VA Healthcare System located at 3600 30th St, Des Moines, IA 50310.
