Description

This is a synopsis for the procurement of an estimated quantity of 248 Expeditionary 7 Meter (7m) Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBs) over the next five (5) years under a Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to replace the current equipment over the next five (5) years. The 7m RIBs will be built to commercial standards and practices using Government specified requirements focused on key hoisting weight and ship compatibility constraints. The acquisition approach will address Total Ownership Cost (TOC) emphasizing commonality with previously acquired 7m RIBs and standardization of equipment throughout the Class to reduce Life Cycle costs. The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue a small business set-aside competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) to North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 336612 during the 3rd quarter of FY20 in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items.
