Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center West Texas Health Care System (WTVAHCS) aims to enhance its inventory management by integrating a weight-based system to ensure proper storage of medical products. This initiative supports the VA's mission to improve healthcare delivery through efficient resource management.

Work Details
The contractor will install and maintain a weight-based inventory management system that interfaces with the VA's Generic Inventory Package (GIP) via VISTA/IFCAP. The system must provide real-time visibility, accurate readings, and data mining capabilities including stock levels, order points, usage levels, and discrepancies. It should trigger 'pick' tickets based on PAR levels and support multiple users with different permissions. Installation includes all bins, scales, and accessories at specified locations: Big Spring, San Angelo, Hobbs, Odessa, and Abilene. The software must be intuitive and comply with APICS Principles of Inventory Management.

Period of Performance
The installation must be completed within one year after contract award, commencing 60 days from the award date.

Place of Performance
The weight-based inventory management system will be installed at WTVAHCS facilities in Big Spring, TX; San Angelo, TX; Hobbs, NM; Odessa, TX; and Abilene, TX.
