Incumbent Analysis (see Incumbents section for more detail)
This opportunity appears to have a confirmed incumbent and/or closely related prior contract history with Biomerieux supporting microbial identification and antimicrobial susceptibility testing at VA facilities. Prior awards include Biomerieux contracts valued at $174,682 (04/01/26–03/31/27) for “Microbial ID and Susceptibility Testing,” as well as additional Biomerieux CPT-related orders valued at $98,544 (04/01/25–09/30/26) and $88,393 (10/01/26–09/30/27) for organism ID/susceptibility CPT services. The repeated focus on microbial incubation ID and susceptibility CPT suggests the current requirement is a continuation or closely aligned follow-on of the same type of testing services and cost-per-test support.
