Background
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Research and Development (ORD), located in Durham, NC, intends to award a sole source fixed-priced Purchase Order to Dickson/Unigage Inc., 930 S Westwood AVE, Addison, Illinois 60101-4917. The justification for the sole source procurement is that Dickson hardware has been installed on over 400 units across 5 ORD geographic locations, and no other vendor’s hardware is compatible with this system. Additionally, Dickson is the only vendor authorized to sell these products and has patent, copyright, or proprietary data.

Work Details
The requirement includes the purchase of various components of the Dickson Remote Temperature Monitoring System Hardware and Cloud Subscription. The components include RF Gateway (version 2.0), RF 915Mhz Logger Node, Replaceable Sensors with different specifications, DicksonOne WiFi and Ethernet Logger - V2.0, Subscription fees for loggers greater than 5 (Yr1), Training Services, Services Travel, and Installation Service. The quantities required for some of the components are as follows: 32 units of RF Gateway (version 2.0), 144 units of RF 915Mhz Logger Node, 87 units of Replaceable Sensor - Thermistor w/Glycol & 3 Pt Nist New Unit Calibration, and so on.
