Nikon LUNF XL 405/488/561/640 FC-PC8

Background
The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), Office of Acquisitions (OA), intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a noncompetitive sole source basis to Nikon Instruments Inc. to provide the Nikon LUNF XL 405/488/561/640 FC-PC8 to the NHLBI Division of Intramural Research (DIR). The DIR seeks to purchase parts to restore and upgrade an existing spinning disk microscope. It is important that this microscope system be compatible with other Nikon spinning disk microscopes in the DIR to enable minimal re-training of users between microscope platforms and to allow for consistency of imaging results between microscopes.

Work Details
The Contractor must provide the Nikon LUNF XL 405/488/561/640 FC-PC8 with specific requirements including a system capable of utilizing an existing X1 Yokagawa spinning disk head, being controlled by the software Nikon elements, a laser light engine capable of producing 405, 488, 561, and 640nm wavelengths for fluorescence excitation, a back-thinned sCMOS camera and drivers compatible with Nikon Elements and the spinning disk head, an acquisition workstation compatible with Nikon Elements, installation and initial operator training, on-site application support and training, and twelve months warranty.

Place of Performance
The product will be delivered to the NHLBI Division of Intramural Research (DIR).
