EPA ICP-OES spectrometer laboratory equipment

Background
The U.S. EPA Analytical Services Branch (ASB) has a need for an inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometer (ICP-AES), used to support agency programs through the analysis of digested aqueous, soil, and waste samples by Methods 200.7 and 6010D. The EPA has identified one vendor, ThermoFisher Scientific, that meets the required specifications.

Work Details
The equipment specifications include the need for an ICP-AES with specific ventilation system support, data acquisition speed, detection limits, stability requirements, FCC-certified RF generator, safety features, wavelength range, gas flow control, automatic functions for sample handling and data processing, support equipment, warranty details, and more. The vendor is also expected to provide on-site method development/application support and coordinate delivery and installation with the EPA's Contract Research Laboratory (CRL).
