Stains and Reagents

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 22, is issuing a solicitation for the acquisition of stains and reagents to support the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System's Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service.

The goal is to establish a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for reagents and consumables necessary for diagnostic purposes.

Work Details
The contract requires the supply of reagents and supplies for the BenchMark Automated Special Stainer and Vantage Workflow System used in the SAVAHCS Histology Laboratory.

The stainer produces 11 unique special stains for diagnosing pathological conditions. Supplies must be compatible with existing equipment, equipped with RFID labels, and identical to those used to validate special stains performed on the Roche BenchMark Special Stainer.

Period of Performance
Base Period: 04/01/2023 – 03/31/2024; Option Year 1: 04/01/2024 – 03/31/2025; Option Year 2: 04/01/2025 – 03/31/2026; Option Year 3: 04/01/2026 – 03/31/2027; Option Year 4: 04/01/2027 – 03/31/2028.

Primary location: Southern Arizona Healthcare System, Tucson, AZ. Additional potential facilities include VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, VA Loma Linda Healthcare System, VA Long Beach Healthcare System, New Mexico VA Healthcare System, Phoenix VA Healthcare System, VA San Diego Healthcare System, Northern Arizona VA Healthcare System.
