Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking to procure Covid Reagents and Supplies to support its healthcare systems. This procurement aims to ensure that the VA can effectively respond to the ongoing needs related to Covid-19 testing and treatment.

The Desert Pacific Healthcare Network (VISN 22) serves a diverse patient population and requires specific reagents and consumables for molecular testing, which are essential for maintaining in-house laboratory operations.

Work Details
The contract involves the procurement of Covid Reagents and Supplies that will be ordered on an as-needed basis. The supplies must meet specific brand name or equal requirements as outlined in the solicitation. Key items include reagents compatible with existing Cepheid GenXpert and Infinity instrumentation, which are used for various molecular infectious disease tests including:
- MRSA – Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus
- C. diff – Clostridium difficile
- CRE – Carbapenemase resistance mechanism detection
- MTB – Mycobacterium tuberculosis
- RIF – Rifampin Resistance
- CT/NG – Chlamydia trachomatis/ Gonorrhea
- Strep A – Streptococcus group A
- Vaginal Panel – Bacterial vaginosis, Trichomonas vaginalis, Candida species
- Respiratory Panel: SARS-CoV-2, Flu A, Flu B, RSV.
Additionally, the contract specifies that all products must be new OEM medical supplies with no gray market items accepted.

Period of Performance
Projected period of performance will start on March 13, 2026, and end on September 12, 2026.
