For example, for each of the materials listed on CLIN 0001AA, should the unit price provided by offerors be for individual lenses (each) or for complete pairs of eyeglasses (pair)? These should be priced as a pair. Please define which items on the price schedule should be priced as an add on cost to the base order. For example, there are three items listed under Miscellaneous (for example see CLIN 0001AE), Oversize Blanks, Slab Off Single, Slab Off Multifocal, that should likely be add ons. CLINs 0001AF and 0001AG are also likely add ons (in base and option years as well). All of these items listed are add-ons and should be priced separately. Please define the required index of refraction for High Index in CLIN 0001AG (base and option year CLINs). We understand 1.67 and 1.74 should be available as an add on. 1.67 is used commonly and should be included in base pricing but 1.74 should be listed as an add-on and be priced as such. CLIN 0001AE lists lens only; however, it doesn t show the breakdown of lens materials under each lens type. Please provide a breakdown of the lens materials under each lens type for lens only orders. List each lens type, Glass, Plastic, and Poly for lens only orders so each can be priced. Please also define the required frame materials for "Deluxe Frames," in reference to Amendment 3, Question 20. Not sure what this is in reference to, there is a requirement for Titanium frame selection to be included for those individuals with metal allergies. Deluxe frames may be mentioned in the solicitation in reference to sites that wish to have an optical shop contract in conjunction with VCS which would allow for Veterans to upgrade their frame selection for a fee.
