Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically the Network Contracting Office 2 at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center, is seeking to procure Ophthalmology Patient Chairs for the Lyons VA Medical Center. The goal of this contract is to replace outdated and unsafe optometry chairs currently in use, which pose safety risks to both patients and staff due to poor ergonomics and faulty mechanisms.

Work Details
The contract involves the procurement of 4 VELA 'Move+' Ophthalmology Chairs, which are designed to meet safety standards and improve patient positioning for clinical assessments. The specifications for the chairs include:
- Large Seat and Backrest: Seat dimensions of 18" x 19" and backrest dimensions of 15" x 15".
- Adjustable Seat Height: Ranges from 17" to 26".
- Armrest Pad Size: 3" x 10", with adjustable armrest height from 6" to 14".
- Maximum Weight Load: 350 lbs.
- Features a lockable chair base for secure patient positioning, smooth-running wheels for easy transfer between examination devices, electric height adjustment for optimal positioning, foot-operated brake for ergonomic working conditions, stable base and armrests for patient support, and a footrest for additional stability during exams.

Period of Performance
The Contractor shall deliver the chairs and provide pre-test instrument installation within 45 days of the date of contract award.
