Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking to procure an ARGOS Biometer for the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas. The purpose of this procurement is to replace outdated equipment (LENSTAR) with the ARGOS Biometer, which will enhance the efficiency and accuracy of eye examinations and surgeries at the facility.

The ARGOS Biometer captures critical biometric data necessary for cataract surgery and intraocular lens selection, thereby improving patient care.

Work Details
The contract requires the supply and installation of 1 ARGOS Biometer (Model/Part Number: 900242708). The device must capture biometric data including Anterior Chamber Depth (ACD), Keratometry (K), Corneal Diameter/WTW, Central Corneal Thickness (CCT), Axial Length (AL), Aqueous Depth (AD), Pupil Size (PD), and Lens Thickness.

The contractor must also provide all necessary electrical interfacing to ensure compatibility with existing ophthalmic equipment and training for staff members at no additional cost. All products must meet specified salient characteristics, and if substitutes are proposed, documentation must be provided to demonstrate equivalency.
