NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE I. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 16, Michael E. Debakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) located at 2002 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, TX 77030 hereby provides notice of its intent to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract, to Henry Schein, Inc., 135 Duryea Road, Melville, NY 11747. The contractor shall provide all material and parts required for denture teeth purchase for delivery to Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System, 400 Veterans Avenue, Biloxi, MS 39531. II. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 339114 Dental Equipment and Supplies Manufacturing. Size standards in number of employees 750. III. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition, as authorized by FAR 6.302-1 and in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b). The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price contract, in accordance with FAR 16.202-1. IV. The anticipated award date is July 18, 2023. Interested contractors, in addition shall provide the following information as an attachment to your response: 1. Interested parties shall identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement within five (5) calendar days of the publication of this notice. Any response to this notice shall show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Contract Title: Denture Teeth 36C25623Q1385 (520 0036) 3. Background: Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System (GCVHCS) has need to purchase denture teeth to meet the needs of our veterans by providing complete dentures, removable partial dentures and repairs of broken dentures and partials. 4. Scope: The Dental Lab is needing to place this order for (Henry Schein) Dentsply Sirona Portrait IPN denture teeth purchase to get the Dental Lab to a working stock level. The total number of tooth cards we need to set up our stock level is 1,346. See attached Denture teeth order form (520 0036) for quantities and associated stock numbers the breakdown is as follows: Upper Anterior Teeth = 440 Cards Of 6 Upper Front Teeth Lower Anterior Teeth = 512 Cards Of 6 Lower Front Teeth Upper/Lower 22 Posterior Teeth = 394 Cards Of 8 Upper or Lower Back Teeth This order of coordinating denture teeth/sets will enable the dental lab to have the different shades, and tooth moulds needed to make the dentures, removable partials, and repairs for our veterans in need. 5. Specifications/Characteristics: The Biloxi Dental Lab will be requesting (brand name) Henry Schein Dentsply Sirona Portrait IPN anterior upper/lower (front) teeth, in addition to Dentsply IPN 22 and 33 upper/lower posterior (back) teeth. The Joint Ambulatory Care Center (JACC) will be using the same, with the exception of 0 in place of 33 upper/lower posterior (back) teeth. Both locations have minimized the available shades to only 8 out of the 24 available. The upper anterior teeth have 42 different moulds (shapes/sizes) in which we will only stock 15. The lower anterior teeth have 20 different moulds which coordinate with the sizes and shapes of the upper teeth in which we will only stock 8. As for the posterior teeth, there are 3 moulds for 0 upper/lower posterior teeth, there are 4 moulds for 22 upper/lower posterior teeth, and there are 6 moulds for 33 upper/lower posterior teeth. We will be stocking each of the moulds listed for each of the 8 shades. We are requesting Henry Schein Dentsply Sirona IPN denture teeth. Delivery to: Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System, Warehouse Building # 26, 400 Veterans Avenue, Biloxi MS 39531. Please coordinate with warehouse for delivery dates for closures. Delivery hours are Mon-Fri 7:00 am- 3:30 pm After being checked in at the warehouse Building # 26, the items are to be delivered to the Dental Lab, (across the hall from the Dental Clinic), Building 1 room 1A128 from 07:00 am 4:00 pm.
