Description

Kavo Radiographic Units for VA Iowa City Medical Center Dental Clinic. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This is a solicitation conducted using FAR Part 13 (Simplified Acquisition Procedures). This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotes are being requested. Solicitation number 36C26324Q0939 is issued as a request for quotes (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2024-05. This procurement is a total set-aside for SDVOSB Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. Prospective offerors must be registered and current in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at time of offer to the Government (https://www.sam.gov) and the Small Business Administration Veteran Certification website (Veteran Small Business Certification (sba.gov)). Quotes will only be accepted from responsible contractors. The NAICS code for the solicitation is 339114 with a size standard of 750 employees. A list of the contract line items, quantities, and units of measure are listed within the attached solicitation documentation. The VA anticipates one firm fixed price contract award to provide services to VA Iowa City Medial Center Dental Clinic, 400 South Clinton Street, Iowa City, Iowa 52240. FAR provisions 52.212-1, 52.212-2, and 52.212-3 apply to this procurement and are detailed within the attached solicitation document. FAR clauses 52.212-4 and 52.212-5 apply to this procurement and are included within the attached solicitation document. Additional requirements are listed within the attached solicitation document. The Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) does not apply to this acquisition. Technical questions on this solicitation are due via e-mail only to Amanda Patterson-Elliott, Contract Specialist, at amanda.patterson-elliott@va.gov no later than 10:00am Central Standard Time (CST), 7/17/2024. Quotes are due to the Contracting Office by 10:00am CST, 7/22/2024. Quotes are required to be emailed to amanda.patterson-elliott@va.gov prior to the solicitation closing date and time. It is the responsibility of the offeror to ensure their quote is received in its entirety by the Contract Specialist before the solicitation closing. Work Details
The contract requires the provision of Kavo Radiographic Units for VA Iowa City Medical Center Dental Clinic. The services include installation of six KAVO FOCUS IO XRAY 85” REACH at the Federal Building inside of the Dental Clinic listed in attachments.
The vendor shall provide all parts, labor, travel, expenses, software, expertise, peripherals, reagents, applications, and services for installation of the units. The vendor will also provide necessary manpower, supervision, parts, and peripheries to install the equipment and conduct thorough testing upon completion of installation.
The documentation package must be acceptable for Joint Commission purposes and include specific details such as serial numbers of equipment installed and any work performed. The equipment must meet certain specifications including having an anti-drift mechanism in the scissor arm, generator constant potential of High voltage DC, tube voltage of 60 or 70 kV, tube current of 7 mAFocal Spot: 0.7 mm to IEC 60336, total filtration of 2.0 mm Al (70 kV), line voltage of 115 / 230 VAC +/- 10 %, exposure time range of 0.02-3.2 seconds, reach of 69, 75 and 85 inches / 176, 191 and 216 cm, weight of 66 lb. (30 kg), beam limiting cone dimensions: Round diameter 2.36 inches (60 mm), Rectangular 1.38 x 1.77 inches (35 x 45 mm), SSD (source-skin distance) standard cone at 9 inches (229 mm) and long cone at 12 inches (305 mm), expandability including remote exposure button, two remote controls, door switch readiness, external exposure lamp readiness.
