Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically the Pittsburgh VA Medical Center (VAMC), is seeking to acquire a Velys Spine Robot to enhance their neurosurgery capabilities. This acquisition aims to support the expansion of spinal navigation surgeries, improving precision and efficiency in surgical procedures, ultimately leading to better patient outcomes.

The facility currently has four Neuro/Spine Surgeons who have identified the need for this advanced robotic system to manage an increasing caseload of 2-4 procedures per week.

Work Details
The contract includes the procurement of one (1) Velys Spine Robot and associated components, with specific items listed as follows:
- 1.00 EA VELYS SPINE NAVIGATION STATION (Local Stock Number: 45161100)
- 1.00 EA VELYS ROBOTIC ASSIST STATION (Local Stock Number: 451611001)
- 1.00 EA VELYS CAMERA STATION (Local Stock Number: 451611002)
- Additional items include various modular handpieces, power units, sterile covers, and cleaning supplies necessary for the operation of the robotic system.

The system must meet specific salient characteristics including:
- Compatibility with existing DePuy Synthes Spine Systems.
- Ability to operate in both Freehand Navigation Guidance Mode and Robotic-Assisted Guidance mode.
- Image agnostic capabilities for use with various intraoperative imaging devices.
- Modular design allowing independent operation of navigation and robotic assist functions.

The contractor is also required to provide training sessions for surgical staff upon request and ensure delivery confirmation through the Logistics Department at VAMC Pittsburgh.

Period of Performance
The warranty period for the equipment will be one (1) year commencing upon successful installation and validation of the Velys Robotic Spine System.

Place of Performance
Delivery is required at VAMC Pittsburgh, specifically at University Drive C., Room 2A118, Pittsburgh, PA 15240 during normal operating hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
