Steam Sterilizers and Installation   2

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically the Network 23 Contracting Office, is issuing this solicitation to fulfill a requirement for steam sterilizers in support of the Central Iowa VA Health Care System (VAHCS). The goal of this contract is to replace aging sterilization equipment that is critical for the sterilization of Reusable Medical Equipment (RME) used throughout the facility. This solicitation is set aside for small businesses.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide and install two (2) steam sterilizers, specifically brand name or equal to Steris AMSCO 400 SERIES 48” Medium Steam Sterilizer. The scope includes:
- Removal and disposal of two (2) existing steam sterilizers.
- Installation of two (2) new steam sterilizers with all necessary connections (plumbing, electrical, etc.).
- Operational equipment training for government personnel.
- Maintenance services for the sterilizers during the contract period.

**Specifications for the Sterilizers:**
- Medium Steam Sterilizer – Autoclave
- Compatible with Connect Assure Technology
- Capability to interface with CensiTrac software
- Pre-vacuum, single door, hinged, recessed
- Voltage: 208V/240V
- Capacity: Sterilize up to twelve 25-pound instrument trays
- Touch screen display with a minimum size of 30 line X 40 character display area
- Dimensions: Width between 80”-84”, Depth no greater than 61 ¼”, Height no greater than 74 ¼”
- At least a 1 Year Warranty

Period of Performance
Delivery required within 30 days after receipt of order (ARO).
