Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically the Philadelphia VA Medical Center, is seeking to procure a tabletop ultrasonic cleaning unit to enhance their Sterile Processing Service (SPS). This procurement is essential due to an upcoming DI water loop replacement project scheduled for May 2026, which necessitates a cleaning solution that does not require water hook-ups. The contract is set aside exclusively for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs).

Work Details
The contract involves the delivery of one tabletop ultrasonic cleaning unit designed for cleaning complex surgical instruments. The unit must meet the following specifications:
- Digital timer with three settings: Normal, Fast, and Ultrasonic only.
- Capability to clean a minimum of 6 cannulated instruments, 3 Da Vinci robotic instruments, or 20 lbs of non-cannulated stainless steel surgical instruments simultaneously.
- Must accommodate various instrument sizes: Small (1.7 mm to 5 mm), Medium (5 mm to 10 mm), Large (10 mm to 12 mm).
- Six in-line distals and filters included.
- Stainless steel wash tank and removable lid.
- Dimensions must not exceed: External Width: 33.5 inches; External Depth: 15.1 inches; External Height: 16.7 inches; Chamber Width: 30 inches; Chamber Depth: 8 inches; Chamber Height: 6 inches.
- Weight must be less than or equal to 90 lbs (dry).
- Power requirements are standard 110/120 VAC, with no separate plumbing connections required for operation.
- A stainless steel utility table with locking casters must be provided for stability during operation.
