Background
The Salt Lake City VA Health Care System is seeking to replace its existing automated medication dispensing system at the George E. Wahlen VA Medical Center and surrounding Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs).

The goal of this contract is to enhance medication management and improve patient care through the installation of a new system that meets current standards and integrates with existing health record systems.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a comprehensive automated medication dispensing system that includes:
- Three (3) Controlled Substance Safes (vaults) with at least 11 locking storage compartments each.
- One (1) Controlled Substance Safe with a minimum of 3 storage compartments.
- A minimum total of 57 Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs), with configurations to be determined by the vendor, capable of storing and managing controlled substances.
- Fourteen (14) Anesthesia Stations for secure medication dispensing during surgeries.
- Three (3) Drug Storage Carousels for efficient medication retrieval.
- Thirty-Six (36) refrigerators for secure storage of refrigerated medications, integrated into the main system for inventory tracking.
- All necessary licenses and software to operate the system effectively, ensuring compliance with VA and national standards.
- Training for clinical staff on the new system's operation, including technical support during installation and implementation.

Place of Performance
The products will be delivered and installed at the George E. Wahlen VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, as well as ten surrounding VA Community Based Outpatient Clinics.
