GENERAL: C.W. Bill Young Veterans Medical Center and LEE County have a requirement for Emergency Evacuation Devices. The ALBLRG02 AlbacMat Rescue Mat Size Large Self-storing, NAME BRAND OR EQUAL. Contractor shall provide all tools, equipment, labor, supervision, transportation, and materials to provide the required Emergency Evacuation Devices for Bay Pines and Lee County facilities. SCOPE OF WORK: The Emergency Evacuation Devices are used to assist and evacuate patients/visitors, who cannot ambulate, down the hallways and stair wells. The Evacuation Rescue Mat is a no lift device that will transfer the person from a hospital bed, chair, or the floor keeping them flat, secure, and safe. It will allow them to be transferred down a stair well in an emergent situation. This design allows one person to safely transfer another. It provides a way to evacuate patients safely and efficiently who cannot walk down the stairs. Emergency Evacuation Equipment Needs Analysis and Training and education of staff needs to be included. 3.TENICAL REQUIREMENTS: Large Size Emergency Evacuation Sled specifications required: Sled/Mat must be a no lift device made of heat resistant material and designed to minimize drag coefficient over a wide range of flooring (concrete, tile, carpet, glass, gravel, dirt/mud debris filled hallways) for horizontal and vertical emergency evacuation no wheels which will impede movement through debris. -Stretcher like design -When in storage is half the size of a rolled up sleeping bag. -Constructed with heat-resistant material -Single person operation -3 patient securing straps for flexibility across patient (including small, amputees or disabled) -3 transit strap for safely moving the patient by the rescuer at the head end. -1 transit strap for moving patient from the feet end when required. -6 carry handles to enable the carrying of patient in a stretcher spine board can be inserted. -Thermal cover - for warmth and protection and can also help calm a panicky patient. -Polypropylene board as the base for patient comfort, heat protection and slide-ability. -No wheels, no pulleys or ropes to rig. -Insulated board to provide patient protection -Fluorescent yellow straps for detection in dim lighting -Foot rest pocket for comfort and security of patient -Simple instructions clearly visible on self-storage pocket -Ability to be wiped clean -Dimensions: 75 long, x 32 wide (at widest point) -Storage Dimension: 14 x 7 x 7 Weight: 4lbs 11oz -Load Capacity: 1030 lbs. When deployed the evacuation device must be able to fit through a standard hospital inpatient room and be able to make turns on narrow stairs and landing dimensions: 36in X 87in X 6in (W/L/H) Weigh less than 10lbs. Includes a compact storage bag with shoulder strap for easy storage and transport. Must be decon capable using standard decon wipes. Sled can be deployed in under 20 seconds. When deployed, the device shall cocoon the patient protecting the patient s back and sides? Utilizes standard patient loading / transfer protocols (Bundle and Log Roll) to load patient into the sled. Must be a durable multi use product.
Background
The C.W. Bill Young Veterans Medical Center and Lee County require Emergency Evacuation Devices to assist in the safe evacuation of patients and visitors who cannot ambulate.
The goal of this contract is to provide necessary tools, equipment, labor, supervision, transportation, and materials for the delivery of these devices to Bay Pines and Lee County facilities.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide Emergency Evacuation Devices that include the ALBLRG02 AlbacMat Rescue Mat Size Large or an equivalent product.
The specifications for the Emergency Evacuation Sled include:
- No lift device made of heat-resistant material
- Designed to minimize drag coefficient over various flooring types (concrete, tile, carpet, glass, gravel, dirt/mud)
- Stretcher-like design
- Storage size: half the size of a rolled-up sleeping bag

- 6 carry handles for carrying the patient; compatible with spine board insertion
