Patient Ceiling Lift System   3

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking to procure Patient Ceiling Lift Systems for the Hampton VA Medical Center. The goal of this contract is to provide safe and efficient means for staff to handle and transport patients within their rooms, thereby preventing injuries to both patients and staff. This acquisition is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB).

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, materials, transportation, equipment, parts, supervision, and personnel necessary for the full replacement of patient lifts. The scope includes:

1. Installation of ceiling-mounted patient lift systems as per manufacturer's instructions.

2. Provision of a complete set of equipment including lifts, tracks, spreader bars, attachment hardware, and all necessary components for safe operation.

3. Training on equipment use for all new types of equipment included in this contract.

4. Compliance with Patient Safety Alert AL14-07 and submission of installation checklists.

5. Coordination with VA Engineering Services for structural evaluations and compliance with design requirements.

6. Warranty provisions: 3 years on tracks, installation, motors, and other parts; 10 years warranty if preventive maintenance is performed annually by the manufacturer.

Period of Performance
The contractor will be required to provide a scheduled timeline for replacements and installations coordinated with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
