The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 17, intends to award a Firm Fixed Price, Sole Source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii) to Evoqua Water Technologies, LLC, having acquired the Mar Cor Purification, Inc, 14550 28th Ave North Plymouth, MN 55447 for the procurement of Mar Cor Millenium HX Portable RO Units maintenance service currently in use at Dallas VA Medical Center, VA North Texas Healthcare system (VANTHCS). This order for the maintenance service for the Mar Cor Millenium HX Portable RO Units, to be performed for one (1) base year and (4) option years of contract award, will be placed on a sole source basis with Evoqua Water Technologies, LLC as the following circumstance in FAR 13.106-1(b) applies: only one source is capable to provide the services required at the level of quality required because the Millenium HX RO is not marketed through distribution channels or through OEM s, but sold directly to dialysis providers within hospitals, free-standing clinics, at-home providers, and other institutions that deliver hemodialysis therapies. Evoqua Water Technologies, LLC provides installation, onsite product orientation, documented protocols, regional field service technicians, preventative maintenance programs, on-call technical support, user training programs, and a complete line of consumables and spare parts. No other company or business has been given the authority or position to perform and provide technical support both in the field and/or through telecommunications. Evoqua is the only authorized/certified provider for disinfection and preventative maintenance services on this equipment. If Millenium HX RO parts and consumables are not purchased through a sole source, it would adulterate the medical device clearance, make null and void all applicable warranties, and place unnecessary risk by using non-conforming components. Procuring Millenium HX RO systems, parts, consumables, and services from Evoqua Water Technologies saves you time and money by offering reliable, safe, and effective equipment and by providing single-source management and delivery, all while insuring you maintain compliance. Delivery schedule will be discussed prior to issuing the contract award. The anticipated award date is November 09, 2022.
