In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b), this Notice of Intent is to inform all parties the Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19 located at 6162 South Willow Drive Suite 300, Greenwood Village, CO 80111 intends to award a sole source procurement for the following requirement to the small business manufacturer, NATUS SENSORY, INC, located at 12301 Lake Underhill RD STE 201, Orlando, Florida 32828-4511: Item # Description/Part Number* Qty 0001 1066 Madsen Astera 2. Part # 8-04-13102 1 0002 KIT, TOUCHSCREEN, WIN7,HDMI. Part #8-62-46700 1 0003 New Product Installation. Part #SVC99GO1 1 0004 AUD TRAINING-1/2 DAY. Part #25311 1 This purchase will include the Madsen Astera2, the software kit, new product installation, and a half-day of training for the Audiologists. A NATUS technician will install the product and train the Audiologists. Contractor will have capacity to sell and deliver equipment as set forth in the contract. Equipment will be received by the VA and processed through BioMed/Logistics. All items included in the requirement shall be shipped and delivered to site at same time. RESPONSE INSTRUCTIONS A response must address all five of the following requirements. Responses that seek to counter any or all the requirements must include evidence of claims for the response to be considered. Long-term Requirement (Note: while responses are expected to show evidence of compatibility, responses cannot seek to propose new solutions seeking to change long-term plans already implemented with NATUS Otometric devices.) OTHER REQUIREMENTS The Madsen Astera2 device will replace the GSI Audiostar Pro audiometer and will be one of the final devices that meets compatibility with NATUS Otometric devices already implemented across the state. Must provide an onsite training team. Madsen Astera2 has seamless compatibility with existing NATUS Otometric devices across all Montana Audiology clinics. Must have evidence to counter the following: NATUS (formerly Otometrics) has provided a sole-source statement that states they are the only distributor of Otometrics and provider of sales, service, calibration, training, and warranty coverage on the Otometrics product line. Must provide evidence meeting standardization goals described in the following statement: Standardizing audiometers simplifies troubleshoot and maintenance, reducing downtime and improving operational efficiency. By utilizing the same device in every clinic location, staff training is simplified, and patients benefit from a consistent testing experience. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 1:00pm Mountain Standard Time, Tuesday, March 11, 2025. Information received in response to this notice must clearly demonstrate the capability of meeting the Government s need as stated above. Include any relevant information (specifications, cut sheets, brochures, capability statement, etc.) confirming the ability to supply the products and/or any services outlined in this notice. Responses to this notice are to be sent to jason.lawrence3@va.gov. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government is not responsible for any potential costs incurred from interested parties desiring to respond to this notice.
