Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking to procure Patient Ceiling Lift Systems for the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System (CAVHCS). Work Details
The contract involves the supply and installation of motorized Patient Ceiling Lift Systems that meet specific safety and operational requirements. Key specifications include:
- Compliance with Underwriters Laboratory requirements, life safety codes, national electric codes, and fire safety codes.
- Compliance with ISO 10535 for hoists used in transferring disabled persons.
- Must be motorized with a capacity of at least 660 pounds.
- Must include features such as electronic lifting controls, automatic recharging capability, emergency stop pull cord, integrated patient scale, and a ten-year warranty on all parts and labor.
