Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking a qualified contractor to provide a complete Breast Biopsy System to support timely, accurate, and patient-centered breast biopsy procedures at the Jacksonville North JOPC. The goal of this contract is to streamline workflow by integrating tissue acquisition, real-time imaging, and automated specimen verification, thereby improving clinical operations and patient comfort.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide a complete Breast Biopsy System that includes all equipment, software, installation, training, and support. The system must meet the following minimum characteristics:
- Real-time vacuum-assisted tissue acquisition and imaging for immediate sample verification.
- Connection to a standard hospital electrical receptacle.
- Automated sample handling and verification of system parameters.
- A tissue chamber capable of holding at least twelve (12) samples.
- Touchscreen user interface approximately 15 inches in size.
- Vacuum level of approximately 26.5 in Hg.
- Rapid sample cycle time of approximately eight (8) seconds.
- Integrated post-biopsy site-marking functionality compatible with standard commercially available biopsy markers.

Software Licensing: Annual software licenses including all updates, upgrades, and modifications at no additional cost for the duration of the period of performance are required.

Installation: Installation must be performed by personnel authorized by the system manufacturer within 30 calendar days after contract award and completed within 40 working hours during standard business hours. The contractor must provide onsite training for Ultrasound and Mammography staff at the Jacksonville location covering system operation, safety, basic troubleshooting, and workflow integration.

Period of Performance
Installation shall begin no later than 30 calendar days after contract award.

Bidder Requirements
The contractor must be an authorized distributor or OEM for the Breast Biopsy System being provided. Compliance with Federal, VA, and facility regulations is mandatory.
