Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, VHA, Network (NCO) 21 intends to award a sole source contract to Martin AIJS, LLC for laser etching and data entry/editing services. This contract aims to provide surgical asset marking services that utilize laser, electrochemical, and other marking techniques to maintain control over the facilities' surgical inventory. The goal is to enable tracking at the instrument level through CensiTrac, the facility's surgical asset management system.

The contract is set to begin on August 15, 2025, and will last for one year.

Work Details
The contract includes the following specifications:
- On-site instrumentation marking by Martin AIJS, LLC personnel with a minimum of 3 staff per day and a maximum of 5 staff, all certified to operate a Class 1 Laser.
- Data entry/editing services that standardize vendors, catalog numbers, substitutes, and maintenance requirements within the SPS CensiTrac system.
- A total of 13,500 instruments are to be marked with a minimum of 800 instruments marked per day.
- The work will be conducted over an 8-hour workday within a 5-day work week.
- Completion of services is expected within 17 days from the start date.
