Sources Sought Notice This is not a request for formal proposals or quotes, it does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified businesses interested and capable of providing the required services. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) company name (b) address (c) point of contact (d) phone and email (e) UEI number (f) Cage Code (g) Type of small business, e.g., Services Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran-Owned Small Business, 8(a), HUBZone, Women Owned Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Small Business, or Large Business; and (h) capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor for the work described below. This Sources Sought is for the Dwight D Eisenhower VA Medical Center in Leavenworth, KS and the Colmery O Neil VA Medical Center in Topeka, KS who have a requirement for Flexible Inspection Scopes that comply with AAMI ST79 (2017) Amendment 2. 8.2 Inspection of Instruments Each time a medical device is processed, it should be visually inspected for cleanliness and integrity. Enhanced inspection with magnification, borescopes, or other inspection methods to verify cleanliness and integrity may be used. Borescopes or other methods may be used to check internal channels of instrumentation for cleanliness and integrity unless otherwise recommended in the instrument manufacturer s written IFU and the borescope manufacturer s written IFU. When recommended in the instrument manufacturer s written IFU, enhanced inspection should be used and the enhanced visualization tool manufacturer s written IFU should be followed. Healthcare facilities should have a method of ensuring cleanliness and integrity of every instrument and medical device used in every procedure. Must provide lighted magnification and be able to document photos and videos of lumens and crevices not visible to the unaided eye. Must be able to inspect internal channels of 1.1mm in diameter and larger. Must be easily cleanable between uses. Must be compatible with Scope Viewer Software. Must be compatible with Windows 10 or higher. The Government has identified the Healthmark FIS-007 as an acceptable item that meets the minimum needs of the Government. The specific items required are: FIS-007USK USB Control Box Kit 2/1.9mm Catheter CT-102 Catheter, 1.06 mm Dia 110 cm length, Flexible Inspection Scope FIS-007SPT Storage & Protection Tray The government is seeking industry input for the following: or equal items that meet the minimum needs of the Government Authorized distributors of Healthmark items. Must be authorized in writing from manufacturer. The VA order of preference for set-aside is SDVOSB, VOSB, other small-business and other-than small business. Responses to this sources sought will help the Government determine the appropriate set-aside, if any. This requirement will be under the SAT and NAICS 339112 is currently listed on the Non-Manufacturing Rule Class Waiver database, dated June 2022. The NAICS Code is 339112 with a Small Business size standard of 1000 Employees. SDVOSB/VOSB vendors must be registered in the SBA VetCert database. Offerors capable of providing this service shall notify the Contracting Officer no later than (NLT) Aug 11, 2023, 10:00 am CST via email at robert.bleichner@va.gov.
