Notice of Intent to Sole Source Requirement The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 10 Contracting Activity intends to negotiate a sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source for the following items listed below for the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System. The associated NAICS code for this is 339113. The vendor will be STERIS Instrument Management Services | 3316 2nd Avenue North Birmingham, AL 35222. Description of requirements: This requirement is to replace current case carts: 1. PR.11104CRT002 Case Cart, Closed, 28.125in D x 46in W x 39.375in H/25in D x 40.25in W x 30.25in H, 2 Door 15 EA 2. PR.11104CRTAC0 02 Case Cart Accessory-Optional Perforated, Adjustable, Roll Out Shelf 15 EA 3. PR.11104CRTAC0 28 Case Cart Accessory-Wheel, Clean/Dirty,Green/Red EA 15 This request is for direct replacements of existing carts. Several of the current carts are in poor condition and require replacement. New carts must match the existing dimensions (size, height, depth, width) to fit into existing SPS elevator door and compartment that transports sterile surgical equipment to the OR. Carts are also required to work with current STERIS cart washer and sterilizers. Other brands cannot be utilized. OEM has confirmed that distributors are not available for this product. A firm fixed price PO with no options is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
