CryoStar NX70 for Asheville VAMC   2

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking to procure a Cryostar NX70 for the Asheville VA Medical Center. The goal of this contract is to provide a cryostat that will facilitate the cutting of frozen tissue specimens, which is essential for various medical and research applications.

The Asheville VAMC aims to enhance its capabilities in tissue specimen preparation through this acquisition.

Work Details
The contract requires the delivery of a Cryostar NX70 with the following specifications:
- Capable of cutting tissue specimens from 1 to 99 microns thickness.
- Equipped with a touch LCD screen that displays critical information and allows control of the cryostat.
- Must have both automated and manual modes for operation.
- Features high-quality motorized sectioning capabilities.
- Able to store up to 32 specimens in the chamber for immediate recutting of recently frozen sections.
- Ergonomic and easy-to-use handles are required.
- Must include a built-in disinfection system.
- Should provide a full range of reports for each instrument, including routine logging, quality assessment, statutory reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Audible alarms must be present to alert users to any issues immediately.
- Multi-axis specimen orientation is necessary.
