Background
The G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center, part of the VISN 16 VA Healthcare Network, has a requirement for Durable/Home Medical Equipment/Accessories (DME/HME) Services. The goal of this contract is to provide necessary labor, facilities, pick-up and delivery, set-up, disassembly, storage, repairs, and inventory management of VA-owned equipment for eligible Veterans. The contract is intended to support the rehabilitation and home treatment of Veterans by ensuring they have access to essential medical equipment.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a range of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and Home Medical Equipment (HME) services including:
1. Delivery and pick-up of DME/HME items such as hospital beds, over-bed tables, bathroom equipment, invalid lifts, hand cycles, stair glides, room air conditioners, standing tables, portable ramps, mobility aids, environmental control units.

2. Repair services for mobility devices including manual wheelchairs and power wheelchairs.

3. All-inclusive services including sanitizing and maintenance of VA-owned DME/HME.

4. Equipment setup based on assessments by VAMC healthcare providers with individual task orders requested through Prosthetic Purchase Orders.

5. Compliance with The Joint Commission standards for home care services.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to be awarded for a period of one year from the date of award.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed primarily at the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center located at 1500 E Woodrow Wilson Ave., Jackson, MS 39216 and its affiliated Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) across Mississippi.
